With the help of mentors, coaches and counselors he engaged in deep introspection and found much creativity and joy within him yet unexplored. His courage and determination to leave no stone unturned led him to discern his passion for teaching and sharing his learnings and discoveries with others of similar background and yearnings.
After several years of intensive coach training he coached executives in diverse industries nationwide in leadership, communication and relationship skills his interests began to concentrate more and more on the "people" side, the "soft" side of the person. Here he saw both, much pain, and much more unexplored human potential. Having been in the 60+ age group for a number of years, it was quite natural for him to be drawn to the "Boomers and beyond", a very large group in our society that has so much wisdom to offer, yet often is confused, even demoralized at times, as to their rightful place and their purpose/meaning in life.
Hardy earned an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, is a Certified Behavioral, Values and Trimetrix Analyst, Certified Emotional Intelligence Analyst, a graduate of Coach University and a Certified Retirement Coach.
In his work Hardy concentrates on helping people explore their unique gifts, the meaning and purpose of their life, balance in and between all areas of life, and how to make the best out of the rest of their life. He sees there being no barrier to a meaningful and fulfilling life at any age, and he does not buy into society's prescriptions about what is "appropriate" activity and service at which particular chronological age. He is in the process of writing a book on these topics. He has a number of lectures and seminars scheduled on this subject.
